The Automatic High Beam Switch (AUTODIM) is a machine vision system developed for the automotive industry to detect vehicular light sources from both oncoming traffic headlamps and tail lamps of vehicles that are approached from the rear.

Through the use of an inexpensive camera, computer and custom image processing algorithms, the system automatically turns on and off high beams at the appropriate times.
