The Visible/IR Guide Light (VIRGL) is a compact device used to guide aircraft in either a covert (near-infrared) mode or in the visible spectrum. The changes are made quickly, by simply reversing the end of the attachment.

The VIRGL collapses into a very compact package, making it easy for personnel to carry in their pockets. When not in use as a guide wand, it can be used as a conventional flashlight.

While simple in use, the VIRGL has been designed to withstand the rigors and stresses involved with field operations.
